# Introduction

Welcome to the World of Revoswap, a first-of-its-kind Defi ecosystem on X Layer Network powered by OKX

[Revoswap](https://revoswap.com) is X Layer chain's first and preferred automated market maker (AMM) decentralized exchange (DEX), committed to creating a smooth and friendly user experience for all types of traders. Revoswap is one of the dapp selected by X Layer team to participate in their closed beta launch of their Mainnet.

Users can use the platform to trade, yield farm, take part in launchpad activities, or all.

### Decentralized

Trade directly from your wallet app. Revoswap does not hold your crypto when you trade, and you have full ownership of your own funds. Not your wallet, not your funds. We believe in full decentralization in all aspects of defi!

### Automated Market Maker

In traditional market makers, centralized entities manage and govern these market-making mechanisms. Revoswap uses automated market making, meaning it is powered by liquidity provided from users, who are incentivized in to do so in exchange for a share of transaction fees and free tokens. Users are the main liquidity provider of the platform and traders can swap through these pools with fees being returned back to those liquidity providers without the need of a centralized exchange. With everything built on chain, all transactions are transparent and trustable.

### Low Transaction Costs

Revoswap is built on [X Layer](https://www.okx.com/xlayer/docs/getting-started/welcome/welcome-to-xlayer), a Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Ethereum Layer 2 built with the Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK) as part of a strategic collaboration between OKX and Polygon Labs.

This means that transaction fees are low, and you can perform functions at a much lower cost than on Ethereum. Revoswap thus also takes less trading fees! With low transaction fees and a fast speed, we are able to provide an efficient and wonderful experience for our users!

# $REVO Token

# Decentralised Exchange

Revoswap is an AMM DEX on X Layer committed to creating a good user trading experience. The Revoswap Exchange offers several features:

### Swapping/Trading

Revoswap allows users to trade tokens while holding full custody of their funds. No centralised entity is involved.

### Liquidity Pools

Users provide liquidity into liquidity pools on Revoswap, which then allows other users to facilitate swapping of tokens. If there is insufficient liquidity added for the token(s) you want to swap, it will be expensive or difficult to do so.

Users may suffer from [impermanent loss](https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/impermanent-loss-explained) that comes along with locking in of liquidity.

### Yield Farming

Providing liquidity for the exchange to use will get you Liquidity-Pair (LP) Tokens, which you can lock into a smart contract to earn $REVO rewards from trading fees. This is called Yield Farming.

# Swap / Trade

Token Swaps are done easily on Revoswap. Trade one token for another via automated liquidity pools that are provided by users.

Revoswap uses V2 liquidity pools, and applies a fixed 0.25% trading fee to each transaction.

### Setting Up

If you are new to X Layer or cryptocurrency in general, you can get started with our guides. You will need to get some tokens into your wallet.

### How to Swap

To trade, simply head to our site and click on the 'Swap' tab. It should bring you to this view:

Select which tokens you wish to trade. Take note of the slippage percentage at the bottom, in this case, 0.5%.

{% hint style="info" %}
Slippage is experienced when the price of an order executes at a different price than you expected. Due to the volatility and liquidity of cryptocurrency, the price of an asset can fluctuate depending on trade volume and activity, and users may experience slippage.
{% endhint %}

# Liquidity Pools

Swapping is enabled only when there is liquidity, and thereby exists the need for liquidity pools.

## What are Liquidity Pools?

When users provide liquidity, two tokens are provided simultaneously in equal USD values at the point in time. This forms a liquidity-pool of the two tokens, which enables users to swap these tokens on Revoswap.

Swapping is difficult, expensive or impossible when there is insufficient liquidity for the tokens. Thus, by providing liquidity, you receive LP tokens, which earns you rewards in the form of trading fees.

# Add/Remove Liquidity

Liquidity is crucial in every Defi protocol. In Revoswap's case, liquidity is provided in the form of liquidity pools, which is when two tokens are provided at the same time in equivalent USD values.

{% hint style="info" %}
Before you begin, make sure you have sufficient tokens in your wallet that you wish to create a liquidity pair with. If not, you can bridge funds in with our bridging guide [here](/community/bridging).
{% endhint %}

## Providing/Adding Liquidity

Forming a liquidity pair is easy on Revoswap. Perform the following steps to create a liquidity-pair:

1. Head to 'Liquidity' tab on our site.
2. Choose the token pair that you wish to create a liquidity-pair with, for example OKB + USDT.
3. Select the amount you wish to provide. Equal values of both tokens will be needed to pair
4. Click Provide.

Stake your liquidity-pair to earn $REVO. Click [here](/products-and-features/yield-farming).

## Withdrawing/Removing Liquidity

Perform the following steps to remove liquidity:

1. Head to 'Liquidity' tab on our site.
2. Choose the token pair that you wish to remove a liquidity-pair with, for example OKB + USDT.
3. Select the amount you wish to remove. Equal values of both tokens will be removed at the same time.
4. Click Withdraw.

# Yield Farming

Users can earn $REVO by yield farming.

### What is Yield farming?

Yield farming allows users to stake a [liquidity-pair](/products-and-features/decentralised-exchange/add-remove-liquidity) they have formed and earn $REVO, Revoswap's native token. This incentivizes users to provide liquidity.

A liquidity-pair can only be staked in its specific farm.

# How to Yield Farm

### How do I yield farm?

1. Head to ['Farms' tab on our site.](https://revoswap.com/farms)
2. Select the farm you wish to stake with the dropdown button.
3. Select the amount of LP you wish to stake. You're now earning yields.

# Initial Farm Offering (IFO)

### Initial Farm Offerings (IFOs)

An Initial Farm Offering is an event that lets users buy into a limited-time offer to purchase new tokens from new projects. This is also known as a launchpad.

**You will need** $REVO **to p**articipate in IFOs. You can purchase $REVO tokens to participate in IFOs. Take note of the following pre-requisites:

Upon completion, you will receive the project tokens, and the project will receive $REVO tokens. Subject to each IFO, a portion of $REVO may be burnt.

{% hint style="info" %}
Revoswap protects our community to the best of our abilities. We go through KYB processes with founding teams of new projects that wish to launch IFOs with us to help identify safer, more promising projects for users to participate in. However, it is crucial that community members do their own research about the project and founding team before participating in any IFOs.
{% endhint %}

# How to Participate in an IFO

Participating in an IFO is easy on Revoswap.

#### **Before Sale:**

* Make sure you have sufficient $REVO tokens that you wish to take part with.

**During Sale:**

* While the sale is live, commit your $REVO tokens to buy the IFO tokens.

**After Sale:**

* When the sale is complete, claim the IFO tokens you've bought and your remaining $REVO tokens if any.
* In the case of an IFO with token vesting, come back to the IFO page throughout the vesting period to claim the released tokens until the end of the vesting period.

# The "Overflow" Sale Method

Most, if not all of our IFOs will be run using the "Overflow" sale method.

### **What is the “Overflow” sale method?**

In the “Overflow” method, users can subscribe as much or as little as they want to the IFO, and their final allocation will be based on:

**Scenario 1: If the IFO raises all the targeted amount and more:**

The amount of funds they put in as a percentage of all funds put in by other users at the time the sale ends. Users will receive back any leftover funds when they claim their tokens after the sale.

**Scenario 2: If the IFO does not raise all the targeted amount:**

The sale will proceed as normal, and all funds contributed will be spent.

Basically, the more you put in, the more you will get, and you’ll get back anything that doesn’t get spent.

\
Note that it is **possible to receive no tokens at all** if you only commit a very small amount of tokens compared to the total funds committed by others. You will still be able to reclaim all the $REVO tokens you committed.

# Partner with us

If you have a promising project, you can apply to launch an IFO with us. Revoswap's IFO structure is devised to benefit both project and community.

# X Sales

A rug-proof decentralised launchpad built on X-Layer to automate TGE on Revoswap

X Sales is an automated platform designed to facilitate TGE & eventual DEX listings of new projects on X Layer, while removing the middleman risk during the crowdfunding process. Our platform enables users to create their ERC20 tokens through Revoswap, raise funds, and lock their token liquidity on Revoswap DEX. Developers can easily setup fund-raising trustlessly and need not worry about building and auditing their own launchpad contracts and UI.

### For users:

You can expect the risk of funds misappropriation to be reduced significantly, as Revoswap acts as the facilitator (via the use of smart contracts) between new projects and investors. Upon completion of presales, liquidity will be automatically formed and burnt via the DEAD address. This effectively ‘locks’ in the LP of the project, ensuring that project teams will never be able to pull liquidity from the project to rug.

Token allocations are made fully transparent as developers will need to key in the amounts split between community, team, and liquidity allocations. All these details are transparently written onto X-Layer such that anybody can verify these details. After a presale concludes, users will be able to claim their allocated tokens and trading will commence.

{% hint style="warning" %}
X Sales projects are highly speculative and price volatility is expected after open market trading. Users are expected to do your own due diligence before investing into any projects.
{% endhint %}

### For projects:

For developers, the process is straightforward for you to create and launch a project, without the need for much technical knowledge. All you have to do is worry about building your product! There are two different sale variations: Overflow or First Come First Served (FCFS). Our user interface enables developers to launch within minutes by deciding and inputting select information into some fields:

1. Vital token information such as Name, Symbol, Supply
2. Percentages to be allocated to Liquidity, Presales, Private Sales, Marketing & Ops etc
3. Start and End time of launchpad
4. Overflow or FCFS format
5. External meta information such as Logo url, Github url, Twitter url , Telegram Group link etc. (Please make sure logo is hosted on a speedy enough hosting and of `.png` or `.webp` format ideally)

A standard ERC20 token (OpenZeppelin implementation) will be created, minted, and custodied in the presale factory. Users can start committing WOKB tokens to secure an allocation once the sales timer begins. At the end of the sale, a launch button will be available for project teams to trigger, and liquidity will be automatically formed on Revoswap. Users can start claiming their allocations.

## Overflow vs FCFS format

### **Overflow:**

In this method, if the total contributions exceed the maximum amount, then each user would receive a fraction of the tokens proportional to their contribution in relation to the total contributions. This ensures that everyone who committed gets a portion of the tokens, but potentially less than what they initially aimed for.

### **FCFS**:

In this method, users are processed in the order they are received (using the validity range as a marker of sequence). Once the maximum amount is reached, subsequent contributions are returned in full. Early birds get exactly what they commit to, while late user might get nothing.

In the event the goal isn't reached, the launchpad will be deemed unsuccessful and full refunds will be returned to the user.

## Technicals

### Protocol parameters

* For the time-being, we will be allowing a max of 1 pre-sale to be launched every day. Once liquidity and TVL flows into X-Layer, we will allow to increase the frequency of pre-sales.
* ERC20 tokens are the most basic implementations possible with no additional functions added. Revoswap team will add new audited token standards in the future, such as tax-ed tokens, reflection tokens etc.

# Terms and Conditions

Please read this Agreement carefully as it governs your use of the Interface.

Revoswap, a website-hosted user interface with the link Revoswap.com (the "Interface" or "App") provides access to a decentralized protocol on X layer, a L2 chain on OKX. Revoswap allows users to trade certain compatible digital assets (“the "Protocol") on the Interface. Access to the Interface is done via connection of a non-custodial wallet software, which allows users to interact with public blockchains and conduct blockchain transactions. Your relationship with that non-custodial wallet provider is governed by the applicable terms of service of the respective third party, not this Terms of Service Agreement (the "Agreement"). This Agreement explains the terms and conditions by which you may access and use the Interface. You must read this Agreement carefully. By accessing or using the Interface, you signify that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by this Agreement in its entirety. If you do not agree, you are not authorized to access or use the Interface and should not use the Interface.

**NOTICE: Please read this Agreement carefully as it governs your use of the Interface. This Agreement contains important information, including a binding arbitration provision and a class action waiver, both of which impact your rights as to how disputes are resolved. The Interface is only available to you — and you should only access the Interface — if you agree completely with these terms.**

1. Modification of this Agreement\
   We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify this Agreement from time to time. If we make any modifications, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of the Agreement and by maintaining a current version of the Agreement at Revoswap’s terms of services section. * *Any Other Unlawful Conduct*. Activity that violates any applicable law, rule, or regulation of the United States or another relevant jurisdiction, including (but not limited to) the restrictions and regulatory requirements imposed by U.S. law.

7. Not Registered with the SEC or Any Other Agency\
   We are not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a national securities exchange or in any other capacity.
8. Non-Solicitation and No Investment Advice\
   You agree and understand that:\
   (a) all trades you submit through the Interface are considered unsolicited, which means that they are solely initiated by you;\
   (b) you have not received any investment advice from us in connection with any trades.
The Interface is a purely non-custodial application, meaning you are solely responsible for the custody of the cryptographic private keys to the digital asset wallets you hold. This Agreement is not intended to, and does not, create or impose any fiduciary duties on us. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge and agree that we owe no fiduciary duties or liabilities to you or any other party, and that to the extent any such duties or liabilities may exist at law or in equity, those duties and liabilities are hereby irrevocably disclaimed, waived, and eliminated. You further agree that the only duties and obligations that we owe you are those set out expressly in this Agreement.
10. Compliance and Tax Obligations\
    The Interface may not be available or appropriate for use in your jurisdiction. By accessing or using the Interface, you agree that you are solely and entirely responsible for compliance with all laws and regulations that may apply to you. Specifically, your use of the Interface or the Protocol may result in various tax consequences, such as income or capital gains tax, value-added tax, goods and services tax, or sales tax in certain jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to determine whether taxes apply to any transactions you initiate or receive and, if so, to report and/or remit the correct tax to the appropriate tax authority.
11. Assumption of Risk\
    By accessing and using the Interface, you represent that you are financially and technically sophisticated enough to understand the inherent risks associated with using cryptographic and blockchain-based systems, and that you have a working knowledge of the usage and intricacies of digital assets which include so-called stablecoins and other digital tokens such as those following the Ethereum Token Standard (ERC-20). In particular, you understand that the markets for these digital assets are nascent and highly volatile due to risk factors including (but not limited to) adoption, speculation, technology, security, and regulation. You understand that anyone can create a token, including fake versions of existing tokens and tokens that falsely claim to represent projects, and acknowledge and accept the risk that you may mistakenly trade those or other tokens. So-called stablecoins may not be as stable as they purport to be, may not be fully or adequately collateralized, and may be subject to panics and runs.
12. Further, you understand that smart contract transactions automatically execute and settle, and that blockchain-based transactions are irreversible when confirmed. You acknowledge and accept that the cost and speed of transacting with cryptographic and blockchain-based systems are variable and may increase dramatically at any time.

In summary, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for any of these variables or risks and cannot be held liable for any resulting losses that you experience while accessing or using the Interface. Accordingly, you understand and agree to assume full responsibility for all of the risks of accessing and using the Interface to interact with the Protocol.
